I AM NOT A VERY GOOD ARTIST
I am so bad at following the rules.
I should have picked a niche by now. I should only work with one or two mediums. I should have a narrow subject matter that I work on. This way I can better target my audience to sell my artwork.

But just like life, there is so much to see and do and explore. I could I choose just one thing to paint for the rest of my career? And with so many fun mediums to choose from, how could I choose just one? And I have never been able to fit nicely into a cute box. Honestly, I never liked all those "should haves" I am told about anyway.

For me, working on artwork is really not work. It becomes playtime and every piece is a new adventure. Each one is unique. It tells a story. And it is so exciting to watch the piece come into reality. Each piece of artwork has a little bit of me in it. I have always been labeled as "different". So, I guess my artwork being "different" only makes sense.

MY STORY
Christine M Fischer-Tonks
As a child all I ever wanted to be was an artist. I was told I needed to get a "real job" and do art on the side. I got the real job, spent years climbing the corporate ladder and realized I wasn't happy. And I certainly was too busy for art. Fast forward a few years & I was blessed with a few kiddos...who eventually started asking what I wanted to be when I was a kid. Took 20 years, but Christine M Fischer-Tonks is finally an artist! And while I have only been doing this a short time, I am enjoying & using the talent I have been gifted, hoping it is a blessing to others as well. So far I have received some awards for my works, including "Best in Show" for the Amateur Division at the 2019 Osceola County Fair.
